Grants (attempts) swimming!

We have the BEST swim teacher in the world. Chris Parker. Seriously. She is amazing. She taught Emma to swim for the last 2 summers and I was excited to see what she could do with Grant this summer.

Welp.  Even the best teachers can't teach ill prepared students.  I'd say if he were to be graded, he would have received a D-.  He missed the F by an inch, because he was super awesome at getting the toy rings at the bottom of the pool.

Poor kid.  He screamed his brains out the first 3 days and then decided that it wasn't so bad.  But, every time the teacher let go of him, he would lock his arms and legs in a "superman" type position and not move a muscle.  When the teacher grabbed him, he would kick his legs fine, but as soon as she let go, lock down mode engaged.

SOOOOO... we paid $125 and I drove 20 minutes each way EVERY DAY for 2 weeks...

and we have a 2 1/2 year-old that is really awesome at getting toy rings at the bottom of the pool.

Nice.

Here's hoping for next summer.

Why is is that any kid with goggles on is automatically a million times cuter?

Noticed the legs that are actually so locked they are wrapped around each other?

He did LOVE floating on his back.

Grant and Chris Parker.  See you next Summer, Chris!
