Krebs Grandbaby #4 Has Arrived!!

Matt and Corinda (my brother and his wife) had their baby girl last night at 2:30am

She was 7 pounds 6 ounces, has beautiful brown hair and blue eyes. Mom and baby are doing well. They still have not decided on a name, so I will keep you posted. This is grandbaby #4 for my parents and the third born this year! This is also Emma's first girly girl cousin on the Krebs side. We are so excited for slumber parties and pedicures!! This is Greg. I’ve commandeered the blog for a quick post. To start off, I absolutely LOVE Kentucky. I think Kentucky is probably one of the most beautiful states in the country. What isn't there to LOVE about this:

Why I love "My Old Kentucky Home"

Kentucky scenery on the left and Arizona on the right. I don't believe this needs any explaining! I'm still trying to learn to appreciate the "beauty" of desert landscape.
Good times with family. Here I am with Sean and Amber (and baby Joshua) Marcum. Sean gave Emma a serious case of the giggles and it was hysterical. They were also kind enough to let us come over to their new and beautiful home to watch the second to last "LOST" episode. Oh man I am dying to see the season finale!! The writers better not disappoint or I'll send them on an Oceanic flight.
New clothes from the GAP Clearance Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. This place is the closest thing to the Celestial Kingdom I have ever (or will ever) be. Totally cheap clothes from Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic. Only one of its kind in the country. I went with Ashlee krebs, Amber Marcum and our respective babies. Right before we went in, we all three fed our little ones in the van, participating in what I like to call the "Breastfeeding Bonanza". What can get crazier than three partially topless mamas? :) You know you're a redneck if...

Cousin time! Emma and Tyler are 3 weeks apart. They kept smiling at each other. CUTE!
Man do I miss the rain! Here is Ben (Jeff & Ashlee's son) playing outside during a rainstorm. Kentucky did not disappoint and provided 3-4 great storms while I was there.
Uncle Glen was kind enough to let Emma and I crash in his room while we visited. We had lots of fun slumber parties. Glen (age 12) also rocked the house on multiple games of "Taboo", where he was giving better clues than any of the adults playing. Time with Grandma and Grandpa. Failed to get a pic with Emma and my Mom... but I just love this one with she and my Dad. We sure had a great time visiting and can't wait to go back in August for Matt and Corinda's baby blessing!

A few things to smile about!

Bathtime with cousins. Greg bought me a ticket to Kentucky for Mother's Day. "Happy Mother's Day Dear... now take that baby and leave for a week." :) Just kidding - I begged for it. Here she is with Jeff and Ashlee's boys. No need to make rude "Kentucky/Red Neck" comments about naked cousins bathing together. YAWN - I've heard them all before.
Yummy soup that looks suspiciously similar to Emma's dirty diapers. Appetizing, huh? Oh how my cuisine perspective changed when a little one came along. Really though - the soup tasted GREAT!

Kurt and Tara's new baby: Kasyn Ray Adams. Such a little cutie. Suddenly "little" Emma doesn't look so little anymore.
Our FIVE YEAR Wedding Anniversary. Greg gave me roses with notes attached giving reasons that he loves me (just like he did the night we were engaged). 24 roses! Can you believe ANYONE can come up with 24 whole reasons that I am lovable? Crazy, I tell ya'. How lucky am I to have this lovable guy as a hubby for five years? He is asolutely perfect in every way.

Everything I know, I learned from last week

Lesson #1 - Finding a really super great photographer is worth the money.

In our case, our sister-in-law Gina is the photographer and the cost was 2 plane tickets to Austin. Again, well worth the money. Thanks Gina! YOU ROCK!!
Lesson #2 - BYU has recently completed research on food storage.

Lesson #3 - Tummy time isn't so bad... for 3 minute intervals.
Then those darn cheeks team up with gravity and DEFEAT.


Lesson #4 - Let Dad buy the dresses.

He picked this one out himself... and it's one of the cutest in her closet.

Lesson #5 - Mormons can, evidently, get kicked off of American Idol.
Although I thought Brooke should have gone about 3 weeks ago (strictly based on singing ability), I'm going to miss her cute smile and spunky personality. She has a website www.brookewhite.com where you can listen to an album she recorded in 2006. It's pretty good.

Lesson #6 - Friends lie.
When I was pregnant, everyone told me that nursing would help me lose weight. Now that I am nursing, everyone tells me that they didn't lost the weight until they stopped nursing. Just tell me the truth people... I'm never going to lose the weight, am I?

Lesson #7 - Old friends are worth their weight in gold.

Here are Brooke and Nathan Wendt with their kids Jonah and Elise. They came to visit us in SLC while we were there last weekend. I've known Brooke since our freshman year at BYU (1996/1997). Time together is always too short, but appreciated. Yes, Jonah is wearing goggles, he had just gone swimming in our hotel pool. Classic photo.

Lesson #8 - Law school sucks, but law school friends are the BEST.

Here are Drew and Ashly McDaniel, visiting us while we were in SLC. They even came to Greg's concert. Thanks guys!

Lesson #9 - Don't speed even ONE mile over in a school zone.

I got a speeding ticket for going 21 in a 15 mph zone. I was on my way to an evaluation of a veteran's home for my part-time work. I get paid $375 per evaluation and the ticket cost me $220. That gives me a profit margin of $155. Take away $37.50 for tithing and $112.50 for taxes and I am left with FIVE DOLLARS!!! I think I'd be better off staying home.
