A few September moments.

Now that Emma is in Kindergarten every day, Grant and I have had the opportunity to take some classes together.  We both love it so much!!  I really enjoyed these with Emma at age 2, so it has been a treat to now attend with Grant.  I even enrolled him in a 45 minute preschool class that is once a week.  That means that I have 45 minutes all to myself once a week!!!!!  It's like heaven.  Sometimes I read a book, sometimes I catch up on phone calls, sometimes I shop - but whatever I do, it is in the middle of the day and I have no children attached!! :)

He has started to get his 2-year molars and you can find him like this at any second of the day.  All 4 fingers shoved into his mouth.  Poor kid.

Emma and her new school t-shirt.  She had to buy this with 40 chore points!!!!  So she worked hard and she LOVES it.  She would wear it every day to school if I would let her.

Krisha and Pierce Hingson came over last weekend and taught us how to make sushi!!!  YUM!!!  It was amazing!!

Last Monday, it POURED and POURED and POURED rain!!!!!  I just love the rain and so it was an awesome day for this Kentucky girl!!!  We had already scheduled a play date with some friends at the park - so we decided to go anyway and let the kids play in the rain.  Grant had a wonderful time, but as we were leaving and he was soaking wet, he was not so happy.

I have signed up for another triathlon at the beginning of November - so I have been really enjoying my morning bike rides and swimming again.  Wish I could say I also enjoy the running, but I just really don't.  I tolerate it so that I can do triathlons.  Maybe someday....

Greg and I got to take a prospective attorney out to dinner last weekend (thanks Uncle Fennemore for footing the bill).  While we were down by his office, he decided to take me on a tour of the new workplace.  I thought I should take a picture of him by his office so that we have proof that he really does work somewhere.  :)

Emma had atrocious behavior last Sunday in Sacrament Meeting.  I mean, really, really, really bad.  She was screaming and wailing and gnashing her teeth.  It was so bad that I had to ask Greg to come down from the Bishopric stand for support.

In any case, part of her punishment was sitting on a chair (reverently folding her arms) for 10 minutes facing the wall.  Grant decided that he also needed to do this (although he was not in trouble) - so he dragged the chair over right next to his sister and mumbled to himself all the way, "I need to face the wall, I need to face the wall". haha.

Suzuki Group Classes

Emma has started participating in Suzuki group classes every other Saturday. She has really enjoyed this experience, as have I.

After only going one time to group, they asked if she would want to participate in the first recital of the semester. I thought she would be nervous to perform in front of so many people, but she was thrilled that she could perform. She played Twinkle, Twinkle and did it beautifully. I was so proud of her! For only playing 9 months, she really has picked it up fast and seems to mostly enjoy it. We have some rocky moments during our practicing, but we are both trying to work on that.

After she and the other 2 students played, the all received certificates of accomplishment, which Emma carried around with her all day!

I promised her that if she played well in the recital, she could choose any treat she wanted.  She chose an ice cream cone from DQ!  Smart Girl!!

Birthdays, Parks and Trains, OH MY!

Saturday - Spencer's birthday party at a park in bountiful, Café Rio, raining hard, ran into Michelle Blauer from GE & honors (small world), The Train Park in Ogden, Arctic Circle, adult time games (in-laws won catch phrase and loved rubbing it in our faces).  haha.

The Wedding Day

Friday - John and Lucy's wedding day! Grandpa Hancock hooked us all up with a yummy breakfast, and we all tried to get ready in a large house with only 2 showers, we left at 11 AM to head to the temple, dropped the kids off at Corinda's aunt's house, The sealing was at 12:45, was so fun to see so many people in the waiting room to go into the sealing, the Kearls were there, and Valene and Aunt Danelle, The Jurgens, Laura Netherton, Sharron came from Arizona. The sealer was wonderful and it was very neat to be together to celebrate their wedding. Once we came out of the temple it started to rain, we took all of our pictures sprinkling rain, but it was not so bad that we had to go inside, the kids were very excited to see John and Lucy and we got some very cute pictures, Ran to get some food, While Eating lunch I spilled Grant's chocolate milk all over my white shirt, did not have time to find another store so covered up with my navy blue shrug and a safety pin, but insisted on flashing everyone through the night to prove my chocolate milk stain. Mom wore her tennis shoes for the first hour and a half of the reception!   I was on social overload!!! So many people to see in so little time, Rachel Kearl Allison Pond, Abby Curran, Michelle Brooks, Lots of cousins and aunts/uncles, lots of people from Kentucky friends and from HCP, Spent some time cleaning up and got home around 10:30, We were so tired but we stayed up talking until 2 AM all about the wedding people that we got to see!!  What a great day!!!
