We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new babies. They cost SIGNIFICANTLY less than our first baby... so we are also pleased with that. And word on the street is - they won't keep us up in the middle of the night OR poop in the bath tub. My kind of babies.
So pumped to be the proud owners of road bikes!! We have been desperately trying to find used bikes for the last 3 months with no success. So, we purchased these new on Saturday morning from Tempe Bike. Got home with them around 12:30pm and by 1:00pm Greg hopped in the saddle and rode 12 miles. Don't ask about his sore bum, because he would love to tell you about it, and I promise you don't want to know. These either makes us official "triathletes in training" or crazies with about $1,000 less in the bank account.

Go get yourself one of those nice big soft seats that the missionaries always have.Then you won't wear your bums out during the race-you're gonna need them:)
sigh. I think that I'll have to suck it up and buy one instead of luckily finding an amazing cheap one on craigslist. Boo. But I've been wanting a bike for years and years...even just to ride around with with Tatum on hers. It would be really really fun. Yours look so shiny and cool. :))) Good for you and Greg for being so on the ball about this triathlon training.

Hooray for you!! This is exciting business! Just tell Greg I FEEL his pain, and then read him my post about said pain. Not fun for anyone. But holy cow, good for him busting out 12 miles his first time out. I might have to rent a bike for the tri. UGH!
Sounds like you got a great deal, and I won't have to ship my bike to you in AZ afterall. The sore bum thing is exactly why I don't ride my bike. Enjoy! :)
Fun! I want a new bike! First on the list--house. Then bike. Aren't they so fun to ride. You forget how much fun riding a real bike is. Congrats.
