I can not POSSIBLY be expected to stay on top of blogging amidst the chaos of moving homes. Please tell me you didn't expect that of me?
Because if you did, I have failed you miserably.
We are still living happily amongst our cardboard boxes. Slowly and surely (although mostly slowly) we are unpacking things. I've decided I can:
a. be a mother or
b. unpack our home but NOT
c. all of the above. Too difficult.
I've now resigned myself to the fate of boxes in our home for months and decided to catch up on the blog instead of unpacking yet another item, while my children peacefully sleep.
SO HERE WE GO. A recap of the last few weeks.
Grant was never captured in his Halloween costume. Mostly because he wore it for all of 30 minutes. Poor little guy was sick on Halloween night, so he stayed happy long enough to snap a few photos.

And then on the way to the ward Halloween party, this crying started. He remembered how miserable he felt. So Greg and Emma partied it up and Mom and Grant went home to drown our sorrows in sleep and infant Tylenol.

Emma LOVED trick or treating this year and was very pleased with her "candy loot" that she gathered in her purple pumpkin. Very pleased indeed. Thank goodness she is not a candy hoard and we still have quite a bit left if you'd like any.

Jamie and Gina came into town on the 11
th for Gina's brother's mission farewell. Now that we have a NEW home with a guest bedroom, we begged them to stay with us. We have had so much fun with them here! Emma just ADORES her cousins and has been in heaven with them around to play with her.
This pic was taken on the
IPAD, so kinda
pixelated, but they are obviously enjoying the horse rides. :)

If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you want to bring with you from the Adams Family???
Option #1 - The Boys. OR...

Option #2 - The Girls.

Yep. That's what I thought. Obviously you'd want to take the girls because CLEARLY we are WAY more fun.
Everytime we get together with Jame and Gina, this EXACT situation occurs. The boys inevitably fall asleep on the couch, and Gina and I stay up WAY to late chatting and have a grand
ol' time.
We sure giggled while taking these pictures. Then we showed them to the kids the next morning and asked them who was more fun. Moms or Dads? They chose correctly as well.
Here is Miss Emma at her latest dance recital. She earned the black leotard by making good choices at Happy Apple Preschool. You see, when we got back from Kentucky, she bit a little girl at school on the cheek for no apparent reason. YIKES. So we had to get a little reward chart in place for positive behavior at school. She has done marvelously ever since.

A few shots from the
IPAD. I think this one of my boys is so sweet.

Emma loves the photo booth. I found these pictures she had taken of herself while we were cleaning one day.

We have also been on a field trip with Emma's preschool to the Museum for Youth in Mesa. We have an annual membership and love going. Emma especially loved attending with her whole class. There is a FANTASTIC area for super small children that Grant quite enjoyed.

While visiting my Grandpa Hancock one afternoon, he grabbed Grant from me and took him straight to the swings.
Just love these pictures.
Not many 87-year-old men that would sit in a child's swing with their great-grandchild. We just adore Grandpa Hancock. We live closer to him in our new house and that has been really fun. Emma tells everyone that we moved to Gilbert, "just down the street from my Grandpa". She really loves him.

Now that you live in Gilbert we have no excuse to not get together. I am going to call soon and come see you. I will even help unpack!
I just love reading your blog! (and I secretly LOVE packing and unpacking boxes when I move). Need help, just let me know.
LOVE the picture of Greg and Jaime! Made me laugh. Girls do have more fun, but Jamie can tell some GREAT stories :)
Your optimism about moving and living amidst boxes inspires me. We just moved yesterday and I had a breakdown at church (after getting there 15 minutes late!! My slip was hiding. erg.) because our house is so disastrous/disorganized. I have been a little grumpy about it all. Thanks for the boost. I appreciate it. :)
Cutest pictures of your Grandpa holding Grant! Let me know if you need help unpacking!
Absolutely LOVE the lobster costume. It took me a minute to realize it's Sebastian- right? Cutest :) And Ariel is adorable!
I cracked up at the pictures of Greg/Jamie and You/Gina. Girls really are just way more fun, haha.
We would love to have Emma over again so you can unpack some more. Beck loved having her over (minus the 16 hours that they were fighting, haha). Either this Wednesday or Monday or Wednesday of next week we would love to have her.
I love reading your blog! Love seeing the sweet pictures of your sweet children!
Good luck unpacking. It made me feel a little better about my near trip to the loony bin during our moving extravaganza this summer to hear you had a similar experience. One day, we'll get all the boxes out of our garage...
Just wondering where Jamie got those shorty-short jean shorts.
