It is such a miracle when she patiently waited for a husband and then patiently waited to get pregnant. The bitter truly does make the blessings sweeter.
JJ and Zac are expecting a baby boy in May. We decided to do her baby shower in March so that her mother-in-law could attend from out of town and so that the weather would cooperate. You never know if an outdoors April baby shower will be TOO D*** HOT.
As always, dear Sharron was more than happy to host the event at her home. And as always, JJ had plenty of friends to invite to the occasion. Because of Spring Break and other events, it was probably smaller than you would expect of a "JJ gathering". But, we still had about 35 people there, which made for a really fun party!
We ate yummy brunch food, opened presents, Sharron, Karin and myself sang her a tribute song to "She'll be comin' round the mountain", and we played a few trivia games about babies. It was such an enjoyable morning.
So wonderful to celebrate such a momentous event! Can not wait to hold Baby Lorenzen and kiss on him!!
