Although we were very sad that we were not able to travel to Kentucky for Christmas this year (tickets were over $2,000!!!) - we were so excited to spend Christmas morning in our new(er) home with our own little family!
And this anticipation certainly did not disappoint!
We had been running the kids ragged for the past 3-4 nights with non-stop parties and evidently they were EXHAUSTED because they did not wake up until 9:15am!!!! OK seriously. My kids never sleep this late! Grant maybe, but definitely never EVER Emma! But she woke up about 4am with a coughing fit and I think it reset her body clock. Greg and I were up and making breakfast together for almost an hour before we heard little Emma's footsteps. Luckily, when you walk into our kitchen, you do not see the living room, so she didn't spoil her surprise. We asked her if she wanted to go wake up Grant and she said,"No, that's OK. Let's just let Grant sleep, he must be tired." So Emma helped us finish breakfast and then we heard Grant talking in his room! The anticipation was killing Greg and I and our kids were CHILL. I guess this will all change when they get older?
We started with a Krebs Family tradition of drinking orange juice before you go out to see your presents.
And then the fun began!! The kids were ECSTATIC and did not disappoint on reactions or sheer joy.
Love this little face of happiness.
Linda and Mike came by just in time to see the kids come out and see their Santa loot. It was so nice to have family around!
Grant got a stuffed Dumbo elephant and has not let it leave his side since. He insists on sleeping with Dumbo now. It is so cute!
The after math.
Then we ate our yummy breakfast of egg casserole, butterscotch rolls and juice!
And then the present unwrapping began!!
Sharron came over for a good portion of the afternoon to see the kids open their gifts and play with us! Again, so grateful for family to spend the holiday with!!
JJ, Zac and family came over in the afternoon as well, to help us eat all our Mexican leftovers from the night before. So fun to have them with us and talk to Alex about all of his Santa toys!
Here is Grant loving on George. Aaaaahhh!
And then we cuddled to watch one of our new movies...
And spent lots of time bouncing on the kids "BIG" Santa gift this year - a NEW TRAMPOLINE!
Greg made me an awesome gift! He came up with a fun and creative date for each month that we could go on through 2013. It's always hard to come up with good ideas in the spur of the moment, so I think this will be an awesome gift to use!! What a sweetie!!

I love the pictures of you and Grant snuggling. So precious. Great present Greg! I want to know what you've got planned so we can steal his idea.
