We enjoyed a gorgeous night at the Mesa Easter Pageant. Both kids just loved it. They were really mesmerized by everything on stage and did not have any problems sitting through the whole thing. I feel really blessed that this production is so close to us every year. We hope that someday when our kids are older we can participate as cast members. I have such fond memories of the Hill Cumorah Pageant, it would be remarkable to have that experience with my own children.
I just love this series of 3 pics of Emma. All her many faces. What a beauty.
Grandpa and Aunt Helen met us there and we enjoyed our time together. As you can see from the picture, Grant also enjoyed having them there. If his smile got any bigger his face would explode. ;)
Our Easter bunny comes on Saturday morning. It makes out Sunday much more relaxed and more focused on the TRUE meaning of Easter. So Saturday morning the kids woke up to Easter eggs leaving their bedrooms into a trail to the baskets.
And then of course the Easter bunny left them a bunch of eggs around the backyard. They had so many plastic eggs and so much candy, I dumped it into one bucket and they haven't asked for it since. Unfortunately, I know where the candy is and eat more than my fair share of it!! :)
Our friends and fellow ward members host an AWESOME Easter Egg hunt every year. They hide over 2,000 eggs in their backyard for all the kids to find. It is always so fun and Emma was REALLY excited to go this year!
Here are my cute little pinterest bunnies as contribution to the huge breakfast spread that they have.
I was pretty proud of their cute factor.
Emma and Katie in the Barbie car pushed by Jaylee.
Jane (who Emma calls her BFF) and Sydney enjoying breakfast together. Of all the food to choose from, Emma chooses Fruit Loops, because she never gets them at home. haha.
Grant and I make his face mask.
One of Emma's Easter presents was a Pocahontas costume... she has been really into the movie ever since we found it on Netflix. So she adorned this costume most of Easter. Do you think that Pocahontas dyed Easter Eggs? hmmm...
Grant really enjoyed dying eggs this year. He colored on them and them THREW them into the cups of dye. Let's just say we are grateful that we had a lot of newspaper down. He would then pick up the eggs that had already been colored and dyed and give them a SECOND bath of new color.
And he took most of the stickers intended for the eggs and stuck them to his face. Darling.
All dolled up on Easter morning. Darling little people. Just darling.
Emma eating with her mask on.
Our Easter spread. We hosted a wonderful dinner for 18 people, including all of Greg's family, Sharron, Lauren, Dylan, Grandpa Hancock, and Greg's cousins Markie and Paul. I guess we had so much fun that I forgot to take pictures!! Oops. I did get a shot of the spread of food because I was so impressed with everything.
And Grant and Tate waxing philosophical in their chairs. These boys really love eachother and are so cute together!!
