Chuck and Emily TIE THE KNOT!

Don't worry my faithful blog readers.

I did not die. Emma and the 11 week fetus are fine. Greg is still employed.

And I have not given up on the art of blogging. We've just been on a really great, really long vacation to Kentucky. Now it's time to get back to business and fill the blog up with details of my grassy green state.

The main purpose of our trip was Chuck and Emily's wedding on May 29th. Chuck is my younger brother by 10 years.

Chuck and Em have been sweethearts since 7th grade. Yep. You read that correctly.

They were married in the Louisville, Kentucky LDS Temple. What a gorgeous and happy couple. We are so thrilled to add Emily to our family. She is just darling... and even better, she laughs at all my jokes, if you can believe it. :)

LJ and Little Glen at the temple.

My brother John and his girlfriend Emma visiting from DC. It was a little confusing having another Emma around, so we designated them as "Big Emma" and "Little Emma". It was so funny to hear the grandkids running around the house screaming for "Big Emma", making this petite gorgeous girl sound like a truck driver from Arkansas.

The reception was at the incredible Lexington Country Club. Holy Cow this place was amazing. You want to appreciate the beauty of Lexington, Kentucky this is the place to go. Thanks to Emily's awesome family for sponsoring the event.

And what's a proper reception without a UK corn hole game? It was a hit with the kids. :)

One of the brides maids thought it would be cute to give Aliya and Emma the bouquets. All was cute and well until someone told Emma that they needed the flowers back. She ran away screaming and it seriously took 15 minutes to get them back. Not so cute anymore.

Emma spent most of the reception running away from Greg on the golf course attached to the country club. It made for great pictures, but Greg was sure tired at the end of the night.

Emma's beautiful necklaces were given to her by her special friend Mima. We had to bribe her like CRAZY to get them off for the formal pictures, but as soon as they were done, the necklaces went back on and were not taken off.

A strange angle shot of our family pics - but we don't have the real ones yet.

Jeff, Ash, Ben and Ty. Oh and unborn baby Bubba.

The day was really wonderful and perfect until the dancing began at the reception. Emma and Grandpa started off the night well...

Chuck and Emily continued the happiness and love... and then...

I decided it would be fun to dance with my little girl as well. I was in a maternity skirt, which was a little big and had a loose waist. You can see the picture that was taken right before the "EVENT". Please notice the length of the skirt on my leg. It is supposed to be knee length...

You can probably guess where this is going. I lifted Emma up as pictured above and while I set her down on the floor, my skirt also decided to set itself down on the floor. So there I was, in the middle of a huge wedding dance floor, with at least a HUNDRED people watching, and I was without clothing on my bottom half. Sure, I was wearing a slip, but it had decided to gather around my waist, so the only thing left for viewers was my undies. I have never been so mortified in my WHOLE life. But, all we could do was laugh. Chuck was literally on the floor giggling. Glad I could make his wedding day memorable.

More pictures on the trip to Kentucky will follow soon. Believe me, all these darling grandkids spent a wonderful week together after the wedding.

ohhhhh my HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA yes I'm on the floor dying laughing too. Oh no Tammy!!! Hilarious! wahahaa!!

So I have a similar wedding story~ I think I've told you. I was on the dance floor (pregnant too) and I stepped on someone's spilled ice with high-heels on. I slipped and went flying through the air..I gracefully landed on my side (glad it wasn't my belly), with my dress flying up to display my underpants to everyone as well! At least THEY were all drunk and probably don't remember.:)

Loving your blog layout. I will admit that I blew on your dandelions a bit.

Also loving your wedding stories, especially the pantsing (skirtsing?). I once had the misfortune of a pair of BYU issue shorts without much elastic. And we were jump roping. And my shorts fell around my ankles as I was doing a double dutch. Mortifying. Glad I'm not alone.

So glad you're back!

Donnia shared your blog with the wedding pictures with me. I LOVED seeing you all at the wedding and I love these pictures. I had been commenting on how the little girls looked like little fairies around the family while you were all taking pictures. Love the Krebs Clan

HOly Moses, you are brave. If that had happened to me I would still be under the rock where I hid myself. How MORTIFYING!
But it looks like it was a beautiful wedding, nonetheless.

Ben would like to state for the record that the baby's name is "yogurt" not bubba.
You got some pretty amazing shots of Emma at the wedding. She looked beautiful!
We miss you all like crazy!

AHHHH!! Wow, that is funny! And I'm so sorry for your mortification, but it really makes for a great story to tell the grandkids. :) I had a similar story of a skirt "lifting" up in the middle of a high school student election skit...in front of the WHOLE sophomore class, and then to top it off, I was singing and I "tripped" over the chord to the tape player playing my song and it all went dead silent. Crickets. Chirp Chirp. Worst moment of my life!

I look through the pictures and all I can think of is the promise of "joy and rejoicing in posterity." What a wonderful gathering.
