We've had "resurrected" toys and imaginary friends around here all month. Trying to teach a 3year-old the true meaning of Easter has been interesting to say the least.
I think we found a fairly nice balance this year between the sacred and secular nature of Easter. Hopefully we'll get better at it through the years. What do you do to find this balance?
My absolute favorite pic of the kids this Easter.
I did find one at Kohl's. Little dapper dude. He looked so handsome.
Her hands looked like oompa loompas by the end of the night. Which I thought would wear off the next day... or at LEAST the day after that... and when they didn't I honestly took Clorox and sprayed her hands. Came right off, but I felt a little cruel pouring cleaner onto my daughter's skin.
LOVE. BUMBO. SEATS.
My babies are always so happy and content to sit in this seat and see the world. It makes my dinner prep time and clean the house time so much better.
We thought she would be screaming for joy when she saw Tinker Bell and her fairy friends. So I got out the video camera SURE that this would be a moment for her wedding video. We taped her coming down the stairs, wandering over to the toys, and then....... she just STARED. No reaction. No smile. No nothin'. I stopped filming. Maybe next year she'll give us the wedding video reaction we were seeking. Guess she was tired? In better news, the fairies have not left her side since Saturday morning, so I think she was pleased. (thank you Target clearance!)
Grant's new outfit from Auntie JJ.
Greg's grandparents hide plastic eggs filled with toys and candy AND real eggs. After Emma was sorting through her eggs, she took the real eggs and through them into the grass proclaiming, "I don't really want these eggs. I just want the eggs with candy in them." SMART GIRL. Why would you want a yolk when you can get jelly beans?
We enjoyed Easter with my Aunt Sharron and about 10 other dinner guests including family and friends. The food was FANTASTIC and the company was delightful.
Our cousin Erin helped Emma search for Easter Eggs. She is always so sweet and helpful with Emma. Emma adores her.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH... all the loot a little girl could desire.
And we are so grateful for our Savior's sacrifice and love.

Looks like you guys had a fun Easter. The kiddos looked so cute.
Oh Tammy, your posts are always so funny and your little jokes always have me cracking up. I love your blog. Happy Easter. Your kids look so cute.
Love the way you write. Your post made me laugh. I too, did not buy a dress in my post baby size. Fun to visit with you Saturday. We should hang out sometime.
What cute kids! I am with Emma on the hard boiled eggs. Throw them back and give me some candy! She is so funny. I wish I could enjoy her spunk in person.
Won't lie....love the sear sucker pants on Grant. SO CUTE! Looks like you had a fab Easter Weekend.
So what's this about babies going to church when they're a year old? I'm thinking maybe 3 or 4 is best. We wonder what's the point?!! many Sundays.
And YES! It's time for the Adams to make their Vegas visit. Greg can experience the hangover in true fashion :)
We do "Bunny Day" too. Sundays are crazy enough around here without adding in sugar. So a friend of mine told me about Bunny day. We call it the Brown house Easter egg roll to our friends.
Grant is getting so big. I'm sure Emma is loving the new toy.
I love your post. We were so glad to be part of coloring easter eggs..thanks for making our Easter wonderful. :)
Grant looks so handsome in that little dino outfit. And I'm totally impressed you got a good picture of them both smiling at the same time. And, good to know about Clorox and egg-dyed hands--have to use that next year. :)
