Random Moments through April/May!

I've been organizing all 600 pictures from Maui for the last 2 weeks, but found some of these gems scattered throughout and figured they would be easier to post about for the moment. I will get to Hawaii eventually... I promise.

Emma at the extends Adams Family Easter Egg Hunt.  She found the one with $20 inside of it!  Means absolutely nothing to her though.  She was happier finding the quarter.  We put it in her piggy bank and she'll appreciate it later. :)

A cute pic of the three of us from Beauty and the Beast.

A Family Fun Night a few Fridays ago.  The kids LOVED mini golfing!

Emma has been in a fabulous program called "Let's Play Music" where they teach the fundamentals of music (notes, rhythm, etc.) in a fun atmosphere.  She even learned Solfege (using hand signs to teach note placement for do, re, mi, etc.).  I got to attend class with her every other week and we left Grant with a babysitter.  It was nice to spend that class time together.  She really enjoyed classes and enjoyed doing the homework each week as well.  We will continue in the program next year.  By the third year, they are playing the piano.  I enjoy anything that teaches my child music theory that she enjoys! :)

Grammie Lou and Mike came to her end of year recital.

Here are all of the students.  The 4 on the right were the children in her class. LtoR: Eric, Easton, Emma, Connor.  Yep.  Emma was the only girl in class and she REVELED in it.

Emma saying her speaking part.

Playing her bells to a major scale.

Dancing to the music.

This is Emma and Connor dancing together.  When the teacher first asked the children to grab partners and dance in class, none of the boys wanted to dance with Emma, screaming, "ewwwwww.... cooties...girls are gross."  Emma had hurt feelings and I told her that boys are just silly sometimes and explained that they wouldn't always think she had cooties.  :)  By the next class, I think Connor's Mom (who was her teacher) had bribed Connor into dancing with Emma, and he willingly grabbed her hand during dance time.  From then on, Emma and Connor had a special little bond (read: crush).  They would whisper in each other's ears to help with answers to questions and giggle about inside jokes.  It was super cute.

Emma receiving her end of year award from Mrs. Harris.  She was an excellent teacher and so patient with these 4 active little bodies.

Emma and Mallory Harris.

All the students (first and second years) with Mrs. Harris.

My sweet little Grant was horrible sick one day (throwing up, high fever).  As I cuddled him on the couch, he fell asleep watching his favorite TV show (Little Einsteins).  This has NEVER happened before, this child seems to be a robot when it comes to need for sleep, so I just had to snap a pic.

Fun photos playing with my phone.

ANGRY faces...

CONTENT faces...

SAD faces...

SILLY faces...

The afternoon we got back from taking Grant to the doctor, Emma decided that she would also like to play doctor.  Grant was a very willing participant.  This is what I walked in on...

I just love these precious little faces and my time spent with them.  I know they will grow up way too soon and I hope that I can enjoy the journey of living with them and loving on them.  I feel so blessed to be their Mother.
