First Day of Kindergarten!!

So hard to believe this day has actually come. On one hand, it feels like she has been with us forever, and on the other hand, it feels like we just held our our miracle IVF baby for the first time! How can she be going to Kindergarten already?

We had a lot of great school to choose from in the area, and ended up going to Eduprize, an excellent charter school that is within 1.5 miles of our home. The proximity is great and so far the teacher and school have been amazing!

She is so blessed to have a friend from preschool, Ava, in her Kindergarten class.  I think that helped a lot with her nerves.  These two are so sweet together!!

Here she is in line getting ready to walk into the school.  She was not sad... just excited!!!  That made it easier for me when I said goodbye.  When I drove into the parking lot I got a little choked up realizing how REAL this day was.  But as I watched her play on the playground and see the smile on her face, I realized that this was a good thing and the next step in her growing up and becoming her own beautiful person.  I hope packing for BYU isn't too soon though...

To celebrate with had a fun night with all our cousins at Jambo Amusement Park.  Emma had saved up a large amount of her chore charts to earn this privilege, so we thought it would be fun to party on the first day of school!!! The kids had a blast!!

All ready for her second day of school!!!  She LOVES school and is so excited to go every day!!

Poor little Grant is super sad and lonely without his sister around.  The entire first day of school, he wandered around saying, "shall we go get Emma now"?  About every 30 minutes he would ask this and look around for her.  It has been so much fun hanging out with just my little guy though!!  We have a great time and I can't wait for his Gilbert Parks and Rec classes to start.

Emma is so happy to be in school.  This morning she said, "Kindergarten is better than getting 100 Christmas presents on the same day".

She is seriously so cute! I love her outfits and her hairdo's. Better than 100 Christmas presents in one day, huh? Let's just hope that attitude remains for as long as possible!

How long was that hug she gave her preschool friend? One of her 'really long hugs'? I can't believe she's in Kindergarten either! She looks adorable and so grown up in these pictures.
