OK so I've only seen the edited Braveheart (I swear!) - but as I drove away last night to resume my Tempe Symphony rehearsals I felt like screaming "FREEDOM" out my window. I took a maternity leave from symphony for the last concert and after 3 1/2 months reclaimed my spot in the back of the second violins last night. I love little Emma to pieces, but it was so nice to leave for 3 hours and play my instrument. SO NICE. Thank you to Greg for staying home with our little non-bottle-taking princess. I guess Mel Gibson and I have something else in common besides our nice back sides. :)

Congratulations! Having a child makes all things in life sweeter, huh?
A little freedom is great isn't it!
That Tammy is so hot right now!
he he--Thanks for the giggle.
So Emma wouldn't even take a bottle while you were gone? What a little turkey! If I'd had any advice for your last post, that would have been it. Just leave her, she'll eventually get hungry enough. Nope, not this one. Glad you got to have a little break, though. Though I don't know why you'd want one, she's CUTE!! (just kidding--I've been a new mom to adorable babies twice now) Ü
I didn't know you played in the violin and in the symphony!! Did you know I play the cello, but have a hard time getting it out and playing these days? Here we are twins again!
that's so great. I'm so happy for you. Since Ty didn't take a bottle and nursed every 1 hour for 45 minutes, he was pretty much attached to me all day long. I finally got to leave at 6 months and I still remember how I felt driving away kidless. What a feeling. It didn't take me nearly as long with Avery. It's so great to get a little freedom some nights. I hope you get to enjoy it again and I hope little Emma starts taking a bottle really soon.
I yell, "Freedom" if I can go to the bathroom without little hand sliding under the door, whispering, 'Mommy are you in there?..Come out OK, we miss you." And I miss sanity. Love em.
You are hilarious!! Emma is so stinkin cute. You lesson was awsome sunday. I don't know how you get up there and do it so easily. I was trying to see what your technique was and copy it. I know what you mean about bottles and leaving her. Let me know if you find anything that works.
As much as you love them, you still need time for yourself!
I am so glad you were able to get away. No matter how much you love you baby, a little mom time is always appreciated. I am glad you got to get back to playing again. Sorry about the bottle situation. I know it can be so frustrating and I hope you find one she likes soon!
Good for you! I bet the symphony was as glad to have you back as you were to be back with them!
Tammy I agree, your rear is really hot. That's awesome you're back to playing! That's your little outlet to jam out on the violin huh! When I need a little "me" time I go hit the tennis ball against the wall, REALLY hard... do you think I'll be able to do that when I have a little child?
How nice to get some freedom. I have decided that I am such a better mommy when I get a little break.
Good for you for keeping up your talent of playing the violin.
You are hilarious! Sorry to hear Emma won't take a bottle, but I sure love the picture of her surrounded by bottles. And I'm glad you are playing in the symphony again...I was Presbyterian all Easter weekend. P.S. I created an account to play music on my blog, but it will only allow me to play music on the internet. Can you play music that's on your computer? I'm just not famous enough to find myself on the internet...yet.
