In our case, our sister-in-law Gina is the photographer and the cost was 2 plane tickets to Austin. Again, well worth the money. Thanks Gina! YOU ROCK!!
Lesson #2 - BYU has recently completed research on food storage.
What was thought to last 10-15 years, is now said to be OK up to 30 years. Check out the article: http://ce.byu.edu/cw/womensconference/archive/2005/sharing_stations/pdf/52a.pdf
You can have the food shipped to you by ordering through www.ldscatalog.com
Lesson #3 - Tummy time isn't so bad... for 3 minute intervals.
Then those darn cheeks team up with gravity and DEFEAT.
Lesson #4 - Let Dad buy the dresses.

He picked this one out himself... and it's one of the cutest in her closet.
Lesson #5 - Mormons can, evidently, get kicked off of American Idol.
Although I thought Brooke should have gone about 3 weeks ago (strictly based on singing ability), I'm going to miss her cute smile and spunky personality. She has a website www.brookewhite.com where you can listen to an album she recorded in 2006. It's pretty good.
Lesson #6 - Friends lie.
When I was pregnant, everyone told me that nursing would help me lose weight. Now that I am nursing, everyone tells me that they didn't lost the weight until they stopped nursing. Just tell me the truth people... I'm never going to lose the weight, am I?
Lesson #8 - Law school sucks, but law school friends are the BEST.

Lesson #7 - Old friends are worth their weight in gold.
Here are Brooke and Nathan Wendt with their kids Jonah and Elise. They came to visit us in SLC while we were there last weekend. I've known Brooke since our freshman year at BYU (1996/1997). Time together is always too short, but appreciated. Yes, Jonah is wearing goggles, he had just gone swimming in our hotel pool. Classic photo.
Here are Drew and Ashly McDaniel, visiting us while we were in SLC. They even came to Greg's concert. Thanks guys!
I got a speeding ticket for going 21 in a 15 mph zone. I was on my way to an evaluation of a veteran's home for my part-time work. I get paid $375 per evaluation and the ticket cost me $220. That gives me a profit margin of $155. Take away $37.50 for tithing and $112.50 for taxes and I am left with FIVE DOLLARS!!! I think I'd be better off staying home.

hahaha... I love reading your Blog Tammy! Your little girl is So cute... and those pictures are darling!!!
THat IS a cute dress!! That was a fun read!
So sorry you got a ticket!! Bummer.
As for losing weight, everyone's a little different. Some people lose a bunch after they quit nursing, some lose it all and then gain a little back when they quit nursing. I actually never noticed that nursing helped or hindered my weight loss. The only thing that worked for me was good old fashioned exercise and TIME--you have to give yourself at least 9 months to get back, or else the stress of losing weight will drive you nuts. Good luck. I'm SO not looking forward to being *just* fat (vs. fat AND pregnant) in a week or two...
You were in SLC? I know I'm not that awesome of a friend, but I could have come to visit you somewhere, just to fill the fun days.
And I did lose my weight nursing. I really, really did. I haven't lost any weight since I stopped two months ago, in fact, I think I have gained weight. Not everyone is a liar. (But my son was also 25 lbs by his nine month appointment and he didn't start solids until 6 months, so he was horking a lot down.)
And so cool that Greg was in the performance. Sadly, I never heard him sing while we were at the law school. We somehow missed all of those events.
Two words: GOR JUS!!!
Love those pictures of Emma. She is a doll!
I have to agree that the dress is so cute. I love the pictures of Emma. Sorry about the nursing stuff. I never lost my weight nursing. I hate those that do. I know i shouldn't say hate, but that is how I feel :)
i didn't lose my weight nursing. i didn't lose my weight not nursing. i lost my weight starving myself!!
Sorry about that ticket! You sure tell a good story :) Emma is so cute...good job on the dress, daddy!
Tickets are the worst! Good thing you have a dang cute baby! Love that dress.
OK and Brooke and Nathan! If that isn't a blast from the past. I'm so jealous that you got to see them and the McDoogles! I think we need a freshman year/ law school reunion!
I would so fly to Austin for a photo shoot with Gina--although she'd probably want to fly me home just to avoid having to take Mr. Squirmy's pictures! :) They are really really great shots of Emma though! I love her! Don't post things related to food storage!! Don't you know that I read blogs to avoid worrying about silly things like preparedness! :)
Great photo's! That dress Greg picked out is absolutely adorable. And yes...law school friends are the best ;)
Lesson #1 is sooooo important. To bad my photographer lives in PA. and just had a baby, so I can't even fly her down here. But we go through there on the ways to NY at the end of the month, so hopefully she will be able to catch up on Mazie's cuteness or I might end up having to go to the Picture People! UUUUGGG
I personally love the floating arm! And I do think Greg picked out a cute dress. He should buy you a matching one. Mom says you can come over tonight for Cincinatti chili.
Jeff made me get a gmail account so that I could comment on his blog. He says I'm not allowed to comment on your blog though. I'll have to sneak.
Go Greg! Emma works the dress like no other baby could though!
Love you guys.
What a bummer about the ticket. I love the dress. Daddy did do a good job picking it out. Love the pictures of Emma...so cute!
I forgot to add that I was one of those people who lost the weight breast feeding/pumping. After I stop, I gained weight.
Love the pictures!! She's adorable. And Greg did a great job with the dress.
I am so excited about the extended life of my costly investment downstairs. The Lords blesses the obedient. Even when its cost an arm and leg, and your children like to climb on the boxes for fun, which maybe the only use that wheat gets.
Sorry about the ticket. Those pesky cops.
Hey, isn't today your anniversary? Or is that March? I can't remember. Happy Anniversary if it is!!!
