Last weekend, we got cabin fever... but not your "typical" cabin fever! We got cabin fever, like John Travolta got Saturday Night Fever! We forgot the cares of the world for one beautiful weekend, got on our dancin' shoes, and let our hair down for 3 beautiful days! Can you feel it? OH BABY - IT ROCKED!

Here we are at the Canyon Lake Fish Hatchery.

Here's the Saturday Night Disco Cabin Fever Gang. It's very fair to say that this was one of the best weekends we have had in a long time. Good food + Good friends = Crazy Good Time!

Emma bundled up ready to go on a walk to "Patrick's Pond" near the cabin property. This is the first time she has worn a sweatshirt. We just don't need those extra layers in the Phoenix sun.

Why do LDS men think it is OK to wear church socks with their tennis shoes on Sunday? WHY? I don't wear my hose under my jeans and with my flip flops!?!?

After a hysterical game of "Quelf". If you have never played, you MUST get it for your next group gathering (
http://www.quelf.com/). We laughed until we cried. Here we are with our various poses and actions that we had to complete through the game. It may not look hysterical to you, but just looking at this picture, makes me giggle with the memories.

Thanks to our cabin fever buddies for a FANTASTIC weekend!!

Hi-
Thanks for letting me come visit you this morning. Loved the photos of your cabin fun. Can't wait to be with Emma on Friday. She is the best date anyone could have. :)
It looks like so much fun. But I want to know why Rob looks completely normal in that last picture?!
i love a weekend with friends. and i hear you on not needing any extra layers. we are roasting over here in texas. i actually bought a light jacket for avery today since it was on clearance at target knowing fully well that it won't get any use for many months!
Considering Rob's size I really should have noticed the huge box up his shirt!
Fun Fun! Ben was so excited to see pictures of "Um-Ah" (Emma). Oh, I am excited to make those cookies too. Love you
How nice to get away. It looks like you all had a great time!
I now know what I want for Christmas...that game! :)
I loved that game. All I remember is stories of nakedness and me singing a wonderful Bryan Adams lovesong to my husband.
What a fun weekend away!
I completely understand about Emma not needing those extra layers. It's the same way in Texas. I get so over excited when fall time actually comes and I put the boys in pants and long sleeves and then the poor things are sweating to death because even though it's September, it's still 95 degrees outside. Oh well, I will get a lot of use out of those cute winter clothes they have for about 2 months! Here's hoping for a major cold front!
TriXXX - What the devil are you doing under the table in that last pic? Actually... I don't want to know!
As for the church socks on Sunday. That is a RIGHT OF PASSAGE! Don't go there. It is a proud Mormon tradition passed on from father to son. I can't wait for Blueberry to wear his church socks with shorts on Sunday.
I have to say... it looks like y'all had fun... but we are GREEN WITH ENVY THAT Y'ALL ARE HAVING FUN WITHOUT US.... Or maybe you are having fun because we are not there?
