Greg is getting IMPLANTS!

DENTAL implants that is. And BOY are they expensive! I'd say I could get me a set of implants (NON-DENTAL-TYPE) for about the same price. Crazy that teeth cost so much.

Unfortunately, Greg and I both have "bad teeth"... whatever that means. It probably means we ate too much candy as children and then followed the sugar coating up with NOT brushing. In any case, we have spent a small fortune taking care of these "bad teeth" and the PRICES just keep getting higher. Greg now has to get a dental implant for a tooth on the right side of his mouth. He got it pulled last month and in slow stages will work up to the actual new tooth.

And nothin' like a RETAINER to bring back memories of Middle School. YUCK.
Last Sunday, Greg looked at me as serious as could be, and said, "Tam, have you seen my tooth?" To which I kindly and sensitively BUSTED up laughing and then promptly pulled out my best Kentucky accent while saying, "Woman, where in tarnation did ya' put my toof?"

Oh and why not throw in a little ray of sunshine amidst the dark clouds of expensive teeth? We go to a ward playgroup every week on Thursday mornings and Emma has become the "swing hog". You all know the type. Won't get out without throwing a fit? That's my girl.

We are THOROUGHLY enjoying our 70 degree weather while my family's home in Kentucky is slowly chipped away by ice storms. I think it is a sign from God that they NEED TO MOVE TO ARIZONA! Ain't no ice storms here Ma and Pa!

Sorry about the expensive implants. Too bad Jeff had to go on and be an orthodontist, he could've helped you out with that! And Jeff and I both wear retainers at night. It takes away the element of spontaneity, but keeps our teeth straight!

Damon was the biggest swing hog alive. I think he might have swung all day if I would have let him. I really wish I could've timed him to determine his stamina. Wish we were there! It's been chilly and ugly here in Springville.

Good Luck, Greg!

Stace has a few too many of those. His dentist ended up becoming his best friend...he should, he bought a new car with all we paid him!

Know what you mean about "bad teeth!" Lane (our oldest) had 8 cavities when we took him in for his first appointment. Poor kid had to go in two different times and be pretty much "put out" for both appointments. UGH! He brushes, so guess we're just lucky!
Good luck with that : ) Glad you're enjoying the weather. Emma is darling - she can be on the swing as long as she wants!

I know I have a pearly white smile but it doesn't come without a price. I have to get a crown about every six months. Jason says that I really do have a million dollar smile. :)Not fun for our budget. Good luck Greg! Oh, I hope your family is doing well. My friend didn't have power for forever.

Looks like we will be joining you in that warm weather, just hope our house here sells fast so it is not hot weather by the time we get there!

that's a funny picture of Emma...just chillin' with no intention of getting out. :) Dane tires easily of the swings because he can't run like a wild maniac when he's confined to one. Tatum, however, loved the hoggin'. :)

I am going through the exact same thing right now, just two weeks ahead of you! It sucks!! pardon my language. It is gross and I feel white trash with no tooth. But now I seriously know why people are missing teeth, because it is so dang expensive. I can honestly say I thought about forgoing it for a minute and going to Hawaii for two weeks instead for the same price!!

That's so awesome you won those free tickets! Hey, I'm a big fan of KBAQ...you know I am! I'm glad you're still a faithful listener! :) (Sorry about Katrina's lisp.) I was thoroughly intrigued as to what kind of implants Greg was getting and have to admit I was a little disappointed it was just dental. :) Miss you!

I love my implant :) But it was expensive, EVEN though I went to the dental school to do it. I guess I could always just say, "Yeah, I had an implant" and leave it like that so people wonder, as big chested as I am... In fact, it would be convincing in MANY areas... (can I claim I WANTED my big butt and my fat rolls, and had THEM implanted, too?) and the tooth would be the last thing they'd think of... Hehehe

I so am in the middle of getting an implant on that SAME tooth! For the love. And, 2 root canals in 2 weeks on the other side of my mouth. Good grief. The horror of it all! Chin up, Gerg.

And Tam-a-lama Ding Dong? You talked me into moving to AZ. Is your guest room big enough for the three of us? :)

Mine are the same. :) Miss you guys! Hey, next time you are here...you have to teach me how to can everything! Serious...you are amazing girl!
