bang 2 (b
ng)

n. A fringe of hair cut short and straight across the forehead. Often used in the plural.
I was looking over some recent pictures and noticed that my sweet daughter's forehead was growing larger than life. So I covered it up. By cutting her bangs. Not too many, just a few wisps, so that on hot, summer days they can stick uncomfortably to her forehead. :)
I actually think they look pretty cute and hide some of the spacious area above her beautiful eyes.
There was an unfortunate time in MY life, that I also thought my problems would be solved with bangs. Note "Exhibit A" below - where I am in 4th grade shown after a play "Annie". Adorable. Don't you think?

In 5th grade... the 80's STRUCK with a vengeance and I thought that it would be an excellent idea to get bangs and a perm... AT THE SAME TIME. Just a note to the wise - this was not in fact such an excellent idea. See "Exhibit B".
Although, I will have you also notice that the other three girls also had these gorgeous bangs. I did follow the mantra that when my friends jumped off a bridge, so would I. And I jumped off that "bangs bridge" with a mighty splash that lasted EIGHT years!!
Thankfully, I arrived at BYU and the promised valley showed me the way to a life of smaller and simpler hair.
I'll tell you what I'll do.
I'll show her these pictures - they should scare her into avoidance.

I have pictures with that EXACT same hairstyle. It's HOT!!! The girl in the pink looks like Jenny did in 5th grade. Hair and glasses. Classic. You totally pulled it off though Tammy. :)
you look smokin' hot indeed. However, I find it funny that a perm was needed on your already curly, thick hair!!! WHA? :)
I love your posts. Every. Time.
We all did it, Tam. It was like the rite of passage of being an 80's child
I love Emma's bangs--they are darling! Does she like having them or can you tell?
You're beautiful with or without bangs. At least you could make your bangs look cool. My looked like a wilted rose. Not good at all. By the way, I am super impressed you are doing a triathalon. Way to go! Greg got me training for one 3 years ago, but we never did it and I have never bothered training since. Are you starting with the half triathalon? We need to talk!
Those aren't bangs. If you want to see bangs, you need to visit my childhood album. Seriously, where was my guidance?
My favorite thing is that the pic of you with the rose looks like little Glenn in DRAG! HA HA! Love the bangs Emma!
