Emma's First Date

Emma has been betrothed to approximately one dozen eligible suitors.

But, you know how it goes in the fairy tales...

The princess always ends up with the prince of HER choosing.

For now, she has chosen Roman. He has stolen her heart.

His mom, Erin, was kind enough to watch Emma while I helped JJ with a wedding dress fitting. She helped them into their little recliner, popped some popcorn, turned on a movie... and the two lovebirds enjoyed a pleasant morning together. SO CUTE.

Roman (and his parents) are also kind enough to keep Emma occupied and entertained during most sacrament meetings.

Please note that in the top pic Emma has BOTH of her hands in the bowl of popcorn and in the second picture she has BOTH of her hands in her mouth. She comes genetically predisposed to GORGING on yummy food.

Even as I sit and write this post, she is on my lap begging for more pictures of Roman.

On a completely different tangent, a few nights ago during our prayer over dinner, she started off with both arms folded reverently. When I snuck a peak mid-way through the prayer, she had her left arm folded gently over her stomach and her right arm was MADLY shoving her dinner in, as if it would walk away if she didn't INHALE it NOW. What's a girl to do when she is so spiritual, but also so hungry? :)

I like Emma's style, and I like your turn of phrase. How funny! And, what fun pictures with her current flame. At least she doesn't mind sharing the popcorn, right?

It's good that you're taking pictures of all these suitors so she can show her kids the proof that she was ALWAYS a catch. Perhaps before her next date you'll have to take her to a YW/YM combined activity on appropriate popcorn-shoveling etiquette. :) She is too stinkin' cute. Love the prayer chowing too. She's smart--no one is going to scam her food while her eyes are closed!

My nephew does that same thing with the food/prayer. It is too cute! Emma is adorable. Hopefully she chooses Wyatt so he can have good in laws. :)

Just funny, that's all I can say. How cute is Emma with her boyfriends AND her eating. She should enjoy THAT while she can, before eating in front of boys becomes "embarrassing."

Cute little dolls! I really enjoy being in the nursery with Emma and Roman and the other little darlings in our ward. A couple times I have slipped and said "Go ask Grandpa" when one of them asks me for something. Oops! We just smile. It does feel a little like we have about 15 more grandchildren. Oh to be so lucky.

My my my, Roman's little heart just melted when he saw his face on Emma's page. I wanted to be sneaky to take their picture and Roman saw me and wanted to play with the camera so he got up and knocked the popcorn all over the floor. Emma didn't sit with him after that:) Trust me, Roman behaves so much better in sacrement if Emma is within arms reach. Why keep these love birds apart? Bring her over ANYTIME!!!

and by the way they squeezed into that chair all by themselves...which makes the moment that much more special.

That's my girl! I look very similar when eating popcorn. That is so nice that she found her beau early on in life:)

It is good to make these connections for your girls early. It's all about networking. Also good to see that she is secure enough to just be herself about boys.
So glad to her that all of JJ wedding plans are going well. We are so happy for her. I'm due a week before her wedding, so we won't be there, but we'd LOVE to get together with you guys and them over Christmas break. We'll be home for about three weeks.

Ahhhh so so sweet!
You do know that she's going to go for the younger man later on in life though.
So ps, I found someone at the race, running with a little backpack camelback! They got it at Cabela's!
