Blogger has been driving me CRAZY this last month. Anyone else out there having problems? My pictures are being placed in all kinds of wic-wackedy ways with no semblance of order. I can not rotate my pictures sometimes without it shutting down my entire internet! AAAGH! I've been trying in vain to post our Austin Christmas and Grant's Frist Birthday pics and I've been having so many problems it still has not happened.
**** ACTUAL POST ****
We had scheduled an adventure on the "Polar Express" train for December 3rd. However, that weekend Williams, AZ got a HUGE dumping of snow, and without snow tires or chains we did not feel safe attempting the trip. The train and hotel graciously let us reschedule but they were booked until AFTER Christmas.
So AFTER Christmas, just last night, we experienced the Polar Express in January.
And we had a blast.
Emma was so excited to get to wear her new Christmas princess pajamas on the train. In fact, we were in such a hurry to get to the train, we almost forgot! But, little Miss memory quickly said, "what about changing into my pajamas?!??" Oops.
It really wasn't too bad celebrating Christmas into January. Our decorations are still up bc of an insane week and so we enjoyed one last holiday event. 
They gave us hot chocolate, snickerdoodle cookies and read the book "Polar Express". Our train attendants were super friendly and made it such a fun experience for all of us.
When you begin to approach "The North Pole" they let all the kids crowd up to the windows to get a good view. Emma was so unbelievably excited. It really was so magical for her. 
Since we were on the first train we got to see Santa first. He was a darling Santa. As you can see from the pictures he was up close and personal with each child. Emma told him thank you for her presents. And Santa told her that it was her job to teach Grant about Santa. To which Emma promptly responded that "sometimes Grant is scared of you, but I'll help him not be."
We stayed the night at a holiday inn in Williams, AZ. They had an indoor pool, and Emma was almost as excited to go swimming in January as she was to see Santa. ;)

While we were up there we decided to take advantage of a new wildlife park in Williams called Bearizona. We didn't know what to expect, but thought we'd give it a shot. Boy are we glad we did!!! It was so great. You drive through and see wild animals up close and personal - and they have a zoo like walk through portion where you get to see even more animals. We also saw a raptor bird show which was so fascinating.If you ever go up for the Grand Railway Trains or the Polar Express you really must check this place out. They didn't have as many animals as I expected, but I guess they are getting more next year.
Overall, it was a really great, really enjoyable, really memorable family weekend together!!

Looks like so much fun! We were a few years later in doing that little trip than you guys, and Tatum was a little old for it--although she still had fun. But I can only imagine how much she would have freaked out at Emma's age! Dane had a ball and Crew nursed. :) But it is a lot of fun for the whole family, and it's fun that you got to do it!
What? The kids didn't even get to dance on top of the train? I would be so disappointed. :)
