A Perfect Match

When Greg and I were dating, we had multiple people tell us we were "perfect for each other" because we were both musical. That is such a funny comment - because I'm pretty sure you need more than music to make a marriage work.

ANYWHO. Greg and I are a great match for many reasons - and we look at the musical abilities as an added bonus.

Last weekend's performance of "Lamb of God" at Gammage was no exception. Definitely an added bonus of great things in our life. Greg was a soloist (and did an AMAZING job if I do say so myself) and I played my violin in the orchestra. It was an incredible experience full of powerful music and a strong spirit.

And it was even better because we could share the experience together.

Of course, as always, it was also fantastic to be surrounded by so many close friends. Courtney came into town from DC to be one of the narrators, and we were so grateful!! So much fun to spend time with her! We enjoyed breakfast together Saturday morning amongst many other late night parties after the shows.

And a special thanks to Rob, for creating and writing and composing this amazing masterpiece. It is truly a remarkable work. Seriously people this is not your typical cheesy Mormon music, if you do not own the CD of "Lamb of God" featuring the London Symphony Orchestra, you best make your way over to spiremusic.org - and order yourself a copy (or 10 to share). I promise, you will not regret it.

Greg snapped this pic in dress rehearsal - that's me in the pink.

An exhausting but wonderful weekend.

The two things missing from the Utah production--Greg singing a solo and Tammy coming at all. Wish we could have been there (or you could have been here!).
