When we first decided to try IVF (Invitro Fertilization) again, it brought back a flood of emotions. Was I strong enough to handle the hormones? Would I be hospitalized like last time? Would it work? Or did our "luck" run out with Emma? Would we spend $18,000 for positive or negative results?
With our doubts and questions came fervent and pleading prayer.
And each prayer began with "If it be Thy will..."
Because if I learned anything through my IVF cycle with Emma, it was that I needed to have faith in Heavenly Father's plan for me, and not in the outcomes.
As children of God, knowing of His great love and His ultimate knowledge of what is best for our eternal welfare, we trust in Him. The first principle of the gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and faith means trust. - Dallin H. Oaks
This time around we have been VERY blessed to have our will align with the Lord's. As we got wonderful news this morning that the IVF worked and I am pregnant again.
I won't feel "out of the woods" until I hold that precious baby in my arms. Especially as women with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) have a higher rate of miscarriage.
But this is a great start.
The baby is due on Emma's birthday - January 11th (poor child). We won't know if it is a singular baby or plural babies for another few weeks.
Thanks for all your prayers and support. We are THRILLED to say the least.

Congratulations! We are so thrilled for you and your family. Emma will be a wonderful big sister. I was over at Sharron's today for play group when you called. She screamed, "It worked!"
You and the baby will be in our prayers.
YEAH!!! I am so happy for you guys!! ***Hugs***
That is awesome!! YAY!!!! Tammy (and Greg and Emma), that is so GREAT!
Yeah!! That is great. We wish you well and if you need anything please give us a call. Congrats again.
HOORAY for IVF!!!!!
I forced myself to patiently wait and wait ALL morning--as I'm sure you had to--and I finally let myself come and check your blog after lunch! I AM SO EXCITED!! I started crying I was so happy! Here's to a couple of months of feeling crappy and sick and exhausted!! WAHOO!!
YAY!! CONGRATS!! It's okay if they have the same birthday, Heather and I do. Not many babies are really born on their due date anyway! I am sure they'll still have their own special day!
Tears. I am SO happy for you guys, and so relieved! You truly are the GREATEST, and you deserve this joy. However, may I suggest that if you choose to do this again, you start in a different month, so as to not have all babies born on the same day. I'm just sayin.
Whooop! Whooop! (Now picture me pumping my arm in the air.)
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
totally started crying when I read this. I am so happy for you. I hope that things will continue to go well over the next few months but like you said, this is a great start. What wonderful news!!
So so happy for you! I have been thinking a lot about you guys. I couldn't believe you were hyperstimulated again and I got sick to my stomach when I read your post about the shot in the booty. I sort of try to block that part out of my memory. But what a blessing that it actually works sometimes! Congrats!
I Love it!!! More babies!! YAY! I can't wait till THEY get here:)
I'm so happy for you guys. Sending more good vibes your way!
Hallelujah! Congratulations!
I first read the news from Greg on facebook. I keep fighting back tears every few minutes when I think about it again. Maybe I should just let them OUT already! I am so so so so happy for this great "start" and I will keep praying for the baby(ies?) to stay put!! Heading to the temple now, and will add you to the prayer roll. I can't think of two more deserving people to have this happen to. Love you guys.

Congratulations! Praise God for the second blessing He has given to you and your family!
We, too, battled with IF (secondary) and had to undergo fertility treatments. It's not fun and easy, to say the least! But God is SO good! For us, we have quadruplet girls (about the same age as your little girl). Plus our older son (6yo). God amazes me at what plans He has for each of us!
Praying all goes well with your pregnancy!! God bless!
