Disneyland - Day 4, 5 & 6

Disneyland - Day 4

Now our group is really getting small.  Grandma and Grandpa Krebs and Little Glen left this morning, so now it is just our family and the J&A Krebs crew.  Still super fun.

We did California Adventure again.  This time Cars Land was open and the boys were super pumped to ride it!

Here is Grant studying the map.  Like father, like son.  And they are both pretty handsome in my book.

The ferris wheel.  OH the ferris wheel.  There are two types of riding you can do on the ferris wheel.  One stays stationary and one moves back and forth along a track every time the wheel moves.  The last time I rode the moving one I nearly peed my pants, I was so scared.

So while Mom, Ashlee and I are riding another ride, Greg and Jeff take the kids on the ferris wheel… the cars the MOVE!!!  I was so mad, because I just knew that my kids were going to be petrified.  I couldn't believe Greg would do that to them!!  By the time the ride was over, I was fuming.  Joke was on me though, because Emma and Grant LOVED it.  They wanted to do it again and again.  Jeff's boys on the other hand were no big fans.  And you could see their little hands gripping the cages for dear life every time it went around.

Celebrated Chinese New Year while we were there!

And this was one of the saddest moments of the entire trip.  All the kids go on Radiator Springs Racers and Grant can't go because he is too short.  He cried for almost 15 minutes.  It was horrible.  Just horrible.  And to make matters worse, we had to drag him up close to the ride, so that we could get a rider switch ticket.  My heart was just breaking.  He loves Cars and was so excited to ride it.  Next time buddy, next time!!

Grand and I waiting for the gang to ride the rapids ride.  Doesn't he look cute in his poncho?  It did rain for a bit this day, bit not for long and not too bad.

Oh I just love the pic of my two favorite boys!

Waiting for the parade!

Will can't be bothered with a picture because he is too busy kissing Grant.  This kid is a lover, not a fighter. :)

Disneyland - Day 5

Now the huge group we started with is wittled down to just our little family of 4.  And what a horrible, no good, very bad day it was. (at least for 2 of us)

Emma and I start puking in the evening of Day 4 when we returned to the hotel.  And we didn't stop all. night. long.  It was a really nasty bug.  We just rotated through the toilet all night.  And poor Greg had to take care of both of us.  And the hotel had to bring us new sheets… TWICE.

So Disneyland day 5, was basically Grant and Greg getting a super awesome father son outing.  And seriously by looking at Grant's face in these pictures, you can tell it was a special time.  Greg said he just would ask Grant, "ok, what do you want to do next?" and let the little guy direct where they went all day.  They would wander from land to land, with nothing more in mind, than riding Grant's favorite rides.

While Emma and I slept in the hotel room and recovered from a horrible night of puking.  Luckily, the barfing subsided.  But we still felt really weak.

We muscled up some strength to wander over to Disneyland the evening of Day 5, so we could see the fireworks (which was the whole reason we stayed an extra day!!).  We were both feeling really weak, but we wanted to try.

You can tell in this pic, Emma is not quite herself.

We did make it through the fireworks, but by the end both kids were sound asleep…

Poor Emma.  This is what she did while Greg and Grant enjoyed their special day together. :(  She slept and watched A LOT of the Disney channel.  Next best thing to Disneyland, right??

Disneyland - Day 6

Emma and I are feeling much better!  So we decided to end our trip with a bang and enjoy a character breakfast.  We chose the Little Critter Breakfast at Grand California.  It was great food and the kids got to see lots of the favorite critter characters.

Emma was SO excited to meet Meeko.  She is a huge Pocahontas fan, so this was especially fun!

Farewell Disneyland!!

Until next time….

Some fun memories from our trip - so that I can have them documented somewhere:
